Arrive at Calicut (Kozhikode) Airport or railway station and meet the driver for the journey towards Vythiri. The road initially travels through Kerala's lower countryside before climbing into the Western Ghats. As the elevation increases, busy settlements gradually give way to forested slopes and winding mountain roads.

Stop at Lakkidi View Point when weather and safe stopping conditions permit. Situated near the mountain gateway into Wayanad, the viewpoint looks back across the valleys and lower plains. Continue to Pookode Lake, surrounded by wooded hills, where visitors can spend time beside the water and take part in locally available activities when operational.

Depending on available time and local conditions, continue through suitable sections of Mananthavady's surrounding countryside before beginning the return journey. The day's route is designed around northern Wayanad rather than repeating Vythiri's sightseeing. Return to the hotel through the highland landscape. Overnight stay in Vythiri.

After breakfast, travel towards Sulthan Bathery and proceed to Edakkal Caves, one of Wayanad's most important archaeological attractions. Reaching the rock shelter involves an uphill approach and walking over uneven terrain, so visitors should undertake the climb according to individual fitness and prevailing weather conditions.

Inside the accessible cave area, see the ancient Edakkal rock engravings, which distinguish the site from Wayanad's predominantly nature-based attractions. The elevated location also provides views across the surrounding hills and countryside. Access can be restricted during unsafe weather or according to official conservation arrangements.

Later, visit the historic Jain Temple at Sulthan Bathery, subject to official opening conditions. Its surviving stone architecture reflects the Jain presence and trading history associated with this part of Wayanad. After spending some time around Sulthan Bathery, return to Vythiri through the district's plantation and forest landscapes. Overnight stay in Vythiri.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the final day according to the confirmed departure schedule. When time, weather and official access permit, visit Soochipara Waterfalls (Sentinel Rock Waterfalls) before leaving Wayanad. The waterfall lies within a forested setting and generally requires walking from the designated visitor area.

Access to Soochipara Waterfalls can be affected by heavy rain, slippery conditions and local safety restrictions, so the visit should only be attempted when conditions are suitable. If the waterfall is not practical, available time can instead be used at an accessible scenic location around Vythiri or the mountain route without risking the onward travel schedule.

Continue towards Calicut, descending through the winding roads of the Western Ghats and returning to Kerala's lower plains. At the appropriate time, transfer to Calicut Airport or railway station for departure, concluding the four-day journey through Vythiri, Mananthavady and Sulthan Bathery.
