Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival at Cochin
You will be welcomed and greeted by our company representative at the Kochi Airport and transfer to your pre-booked hotel- Taj Gateway. Proceed for the sightseeing of Kochi. Visit the St. Francis Church which was built in 15th century. Pay a visit to the Matancherry Palace which is also known as Dutch Palace, housing the collection of Kerala murals and portraits. Visit the Kerala Folklore Museum exhibiting the artifacts and depicting the history of Kerala. Another spectacular attraction is Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening, if time permits then watch the Kathakali dance performance which will amaze you by their costumes, makeup and face mask. Overnight stay in Kochi.
Day 2. Cochin – Kumarakom
The following day you will be heading for Kumarakom in the morning by road. The luscious town of Kumarakom is blessed with the charms of peaceful environs, avifauna wealth and enchanting backwater cruise. Upon arrival, proceed forl check-ins at hotel- Vivanta by Taj- Kumarakom. Post lunch you can enjoy the delightful boat ride in Kumarakom lake where you can spot the exotic species of birds along with scenic environs. Later in the evening, explore more of Kumarakom and its markets where you can buy some finest handicraft things. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 3. Kumarakom
The following day, you may choose to trek at the Bird Sanctuary or the day is at your discretion. Overnight stay in Vivanta by Taj-Kumarakom.
Day 4. Kumarakom – Varkala
In the morning, depart for Varkala and proceed for check-ins at the hotel- Taj Gateway. Spend the rest of the day at the beaches. Overnight stay in Varkala.
Day 5. Varkala – Trivandrum- Kovalam
In the morning, depart for Kovalam and enroute stop at Trivandrum. Proceed for the sightseeing and visit the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple which is built in the Kerala and Tamil style of architecture. Next stop is Puthen Maliga Palace Museum which exhibits the Travancore style of architecture. It houses a large collection of artifacts of ancient period. Another attraction is Napier Museum which showcases the cultural heritage of Kerala. It includes gardens and Zoo. Visit the Sree Chitra Art Gallery which houses the beautiful collection of modern and classical paintings.
Note:- Napier Museum, Zoo and Sree Chitra Art Gallery are closed on Mondays.
Further, continue driving towards Kovalam and transfer to the hotel- Vivanta by Taj- Kovalam followed by an overnight stay.
Day 6. Departure
Early in the morning, spend some time at the beaches of Kovalam. Later depart for Trivandrum and transfer to the Airport for your onwards journey.
