Day 1. Arrival at Delhi
You will be welcomed and greeted by our company representative at the Delhi Airport and then escorted to your pre-booked hotel. The tour itinerary will be briefed out to you. Rest of the day is at your discretion. Overnight halt in Delhi.
Day 2. Delhi
Post breakfast, begin the day with the sightseeing of Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort which had been an erstwhile residence of Mughal emperors. Now visit the Jama Mosque- one of the largest mosques in India. Enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride over the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk bazaar which is densely populated.
Head towards New Delhi and visit the old 73 metre high tower- Qutub Minar. Spend some time at Humayun’s Tomb which is inspired by Persian architecture. It was built by Humayun’s Wife. Drive past through the President’s House and Parliament House. Stop at the India Gate which is dedicated to the Indian Soldiers. At last, visit the Lotus Temple. Overnight halt in Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra
In the morning, depart for Agra and enroute stop at Sikandra and visit the Tomb of Akbar who was the Mughal Emperor. The mausoleum was constructed by a blend of Muslim and Hindu style of architecture.
Continue driving towards Agra and transfer to the hotel. Proceed to visit the Agra Fort which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It houses some splendid buildings like Sheesh Mahal, Moti Masjid, Nagina Masjid,Diwan-i-Khas, Macchi Bhawan, Diwan-e-Am and Meena Bazaar. Later visit the Tomb of Itmad ud daulah , also known as Baby Taj due to its resemblance with the great Taj Mahal. Enjoy the sunset at the Taj Mahal which is a symbol of love and built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife-Mumtaz. Overnight stay at Agra.
Please note the Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday.
Day 4: Agra To Jaipur
After breakfast, depart for Jaipur. On the way, stop at Fatehpur Sikri – the Ghost Town. Admire its major attractions- Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai palace, Buland Darwaza,.
Continue driving towards Jaipur and transfer to the hotel for a short relaxation. Thereafter start exploring the pink city which commences with the visit to Amber Fort where you can enjoy the elephant ride. The elephants are decorated with colorful clothes. Drive past the Jal Mahal which is submerged into the lake. It was built by Raja Man Singh. Another attraction is the City Palace of Jaipur which had been the former residence of the past rulers. Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal are the major parts of the palace complex. Visit the Jantar Mantar-one of the largest observatories. The last attraction is Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds where 953 windows were built so that the royal women could witness the outside streets through these windows without being seen. Overnight halt in Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur to Delhi to Chennai
The following day, you will be transferred to Delhi Airport to board the flight for the Chennai. Upon Chennai Arrival, Proceed for your check-ins. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 6: Chennai Sightseeing
The following day, post breakfast you can proceed for Chennai sightseeing. You will be visiting some renowned tourist attractions which include St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeshwar temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and the National Art Gallery, which is one of the oldest Art Galleries of the country. Later in the evening explore the Marina Beach. Overnight stay at Hotel in Chennai.
Day 7: Chennai to Trivandrum
Post breakfast, depart for Trivandrum and transfer to the hotel. Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala. Proceed for the sightseeing and visit the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple which is built in the Kerala and Tamil style of architecture. Next stop is Puthe Maliga Palace Museum which exhibits the Travancore style of architecture. It houses a large collection of artifacts of ancient period. Another attraction is Napier Museum which showcases the cultural heritage of Kerala. It includes gardens and Zoo. Visit the Sree Chitra Art Gallery which houses the beautiful collection of modern and classical paintings.
Please note Napier Museum, Zoo and Sree Chitra Art Gallery are closed on Mondays.
Day 8: Ayurvedic Resort
The lands of kerala is quite renowned for its age old ayurvedic treatments and therapy and houses several resorts for the same purpose. Moreover the therapies and practices of Ayurveda are conducted in places which complements well in refreshing and rejuvenating your soul, mind and body. Far away from the hub and chaos of urban life, enjoy the delights of yoga sessions and therapies. Moreover, consumption of toxic substances id strictly prohibited and thes resorts emphasize on the benefits of consumption of simple vegetarian food for detoxification. Enjoy the nature walks or the excursion to nearby villages or spending some leisure time at inhouse beach.
Day 9: Backwaters of Kerala
The following day after checking out from the resort you will be embarking upon the backwater cruise in a traditional houseboat where you can enjoy the serenity of surroundings, the sights of coconut grooves and peaceful vistas along with catching the glimpses of localites and the lifestyles they are leading in the nearby villages. Enjoy the gala dining in the houseboat along with the soothing sounds of glistening waters.
Day 10: Backwaters to Cochin
The houseboat will lead its way to Cochin. Upon Cochin arrival, proceed for your hotel check ins . The rest of the day can be spent at discretion. Overnight stay in Hotel in Chennai.
Day 11: Cochin Sightseeing
Post breakfast, you will be proceeding for the sightseeing of Cochin which is also called as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea”. The coastal delight of Kerala houses several Spectacular marvels like Mattancherry Palace which is popularly called as the Dutch Palace and houses the mural that are executed in the in the finest of Hindu temple art and are not only religious but embellished and stylised, the Paradesi Synagogue, which is one of the seven synagogues of Cochin Jewish Community, Santa Cruz Basilica, which is one of the eight Basilica of Kerala and exhibits the finest of architectural and artistic splendor and hues of gothic style, ernakulam shiva Temple, St. francis Church and many more.
Later in the evening you can enjoy the enchanting views of Chinese fishing nets. Overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 12: Cochin to Periyar
The following day after a toothsome breakfast, you will be heading for Periyar National Park which is a quite renowned elephant and tiger reserve. Upon arrival, proceed for your check-ins. In the evening, enjoy the delightful bird watching along with a enchanting boat ride in Periyar lake where you can catch the sights of both migratory and native birds. Overnight stay in lodge.
Day 13: Periyar to Madurai
The following day commences with a toothsome breakfast and thereafter you will be proceeding for Madurai. Enroute you will be halting over Tanjore to visit the Brihadeshwara temple, Nandi temple, Royal palace Complex with Chandra Bhagavan temple. Upon Madurai arrival, proceed for your check ins. Overnight stay at Hotel in Madurai.
Day 14: Madurai
The following day after breakfast you will be proceeding to explore the major tourist delight of the city which include Meenakshi Amman Temple, which is dedicated to Meenakshi, a form of deity Parvati and her consort, Sundareshwar, a form of Deity Shiva, Thirumalai Nayak’s Place and Gandhi Museum, which is amongst the five Gandhi Museums of India. Overnight stay at Hotel in Madurai.
Day 15: Madurai to Kanchipuram
The following day after breakfast, you will be heading for Kanchipuram. Upon arrival proceed for your hotel Check-ins and relax there for a while. Later explore some of the spectacular attractions like Kailasanathar Temple, hindu temple commenced in Dravidian Architectural style, Varadaraja Perumal temple, which is amongst those 108 temples of Lord Vishnu which is believed to be visited by 12 poet saints and Agastheeswarar Temple, a beautiful structure which is one amongst the navagraha temples of Chennai.
Day 16: Kanchipuram To Mahabalipuram
The following day after having breakfast, you will be leaving for Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival proceed for your hotel Check-ins and relax there for a while.Thereafter you will be proceeding for sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. Explore the major attractions like the Shore and the Five Ratha Temples, tiger Caves and Arjuna Penance. Overnight stay at Mahabalipuram
Day 17: Mahabalipuram to chennai Departure
The following day you will be transferred to the Chennai airport to board the flight for the onward journey.
